It is in this valley, that the famous plums come from Agen. This river, calm and sinuous, crosses the departments of Lot and Garonne, in a green landscape and a real architectural wealth. Indeed in the valley of the Lot, a significant number of “Country houses” were built, most of them are from the XIII century.
The course we propose you is located on the downstream part of the Lot. You will sail across medieval villages, through luxuriant orchards which spread their sweet smells from spring during flowering to summer when fruits becoming ripe.
Very clean and amply to fish, this river will please fishermen. White pike perches, pikes, poles, eels, white fish, black-bass, carps and sometimes salmon, sea trout, sturgeons, marine lampreys meet themselves here. Fishermen to your ropes!!! |

It is in this valley of the Lot where was born the “plum d’ente”. The monks of the Abbey of Clairac undertook mixes which gave birth to this variety now used to make “pruneaux d’ Agen”
